My name is Steve Burdett and I am a candidate for Brevard County Property Appraiser.

I graduated from Merritt Island High School in 1977 and attended the University of Central Florida where I earned a bachelors degree in Business Administration in 1981. Subsequently, I earned my CPA license in 1986 and served as President for the Brevard Chapter of the Florida Institute of CPA's in 1994-95.

My wife, Jamie, and I were married in 1985 and have three wonderful children, Stefani, Jonathan, and Andrew. In addition, I have been a life long member of the Brevard County community.

Over the past 25 years, I have worked for the citizens of Brevard County in several capacities. I have been an auditor, and accountant, and the Chief Financial Officer of the Clerk of Court. I am certain that this is the quality of experience that will make a competent, fair, and equitable Property Appraiser for Brevard County.

We are in need of a Property Appraiser who appraises your property fairly and equitably. Representing the chief financial office of Brevard County government has allowed me to witness, monitor and speak for the people's money. An equitable valuation system requires property values to be kept up to date in order to equally distribute the property tax burden.

As someone who is passionate about my work, I will use strong ethics and sound managerial practices to work towards ensuring fair valuations while listening to the concerns of all Brevardians. Visit more on this web site to learn more about me, my family, and my ability to restore public trust and integrity back into the Property Appraiser's office.

I would appreciate your support and look forward to being your next Property Appraiser.
